Mission
Empower young adults with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to succeed by providing workforce pathways that support their growth, career readiness, and long-term success in adulthood.
What Makes us UNIQUE?
Because of our holistic and purpose-driven approach to supporting young adults ages 18-24 who have aged out of foster care. Unlike traditional programs that focus on only one aspect of assistance such as housing or job placement WHD2 integrates personal development, mentorship, education, and community engagement into one comprehensive support system.
Phase 1
The New Beginning
Provide stable housing combined with intensive workforce development. Participants engage in mentorship, job-readiness classes, soft skills training, financial literacy, and community service, laying a strong foundation for both personal and professional growth.
Phase 2
Leadership & Independent living
Strengthens participants’ transition into full independence by reinforcing employment stability, financial growth, and personal accountability. Participants complete a capstone goal, mentor newer cohorts, and lead a community initiative, demonstrating readiness for sustained self-sufficiency and leadership.
Phase 3
Graduation & Alumni Advancement
Marks the formal completion of the program and the transition from active support to long-term success. Graduates join the WHD2 Alumni Network equipped with the confidence, resources, and professional connections necessary to maintain stability, pursue advancement, and create lasting community impact.
